- I'm building up to my first ultra - the SheUltra 50k in Wales (I have done several road marathons). I live in a flat area so what do you recommend for building strength/training for the hills? Treadmill on incline/stairmaster machine? just find a hill and do lots of reps? Or something else? (2:50)
- I went to a medical gp herbalist recently about a chronic illness I have and how to support my body being on massive doses of antibiotics for a year or more. To my surprise she advised me to reduce my carbs. Well I know your thoughts about carbs, and you have been my guru. So she sent the info below about prof Tim Noakes. I wondered if you knew about him and your thoughts on this (8:20)
- I have also been diagnosed with a pubic stress injury, triggered by a bike accident. So need to mix in some cycle cross training instead of long runs according to google I need todo 3.1 cycling to running, Is that what you did? (12:40)
- I have a question fresh off a 6-day race where I ran 406 miles. Muscles feel good but there was a lot of concrete and my feet got very sore. I also totally messed with my body clock crossing time zones and running at all times of day and night. Do you have any tips for accelerating the recovery process eg nutrition, light activity, other 'extras' in addition to eating a lot of food (I'm hungry every 2 hours!) and sleeping lots! (15:20)
